Kelsey Grammer 'wants to separate kids'

Kelsey Grammer has suggested splitting his two children between himself and ex-wife Camille Grammer.

Camille recently filed for primary custody of 9-year-old Mason and 6-year-old Jude in response to Kelsey's earlier legal request for the same.

However, in a letter obtained by TMZ and written by Kelsey's attorney, the actor now plans to leave Mason in California with Camille while he takes their son Jude to live with him in Chicago.

"Kelsey proposes... Kelsey shall have primary physical custody of Jude and Camille shall have primary physical custody of Mason," read the document, which was dated April 29.

Kelsey's rep Stan Rosenfield told the website: "Despite the fact that those connected with Camille Grammer seem to be hand delivering confidential documents to TMZ and other media outlets, we will continue not to make public statements about their private matters which can and apparently does beg for misinterpretation."

Camille's publicist recently insisted that the children want to stay with their mother and have no interest in moving in with Kelsey.
