Paris Hilton 'furious' over 'The View' interview

Paris Hilton is reportedly angry at the producers of The View after she was grilled by host Barbara Walters during a live appearance earlier this week.

Hilton was appearing on the show to promote her new Oxygen seriesThe World According to Paris, but was questioned by Walters about her negative attitude towards community service.

Walters quoted Hilton in the first episode of The World..., during which the heiress bemoans having to carry out her community service, and questions whether she will have to hang around with other prisoners.

"Why not present that side of yourself, if indeed it exists?" Walters asked.

"When I'm on the show I'll make funny little jokes, it doesn't mean I'm serious," Hilton responded, trying to brush off her comments.

However, Hilton and her father are believed to have 'screamed' at producers after the show, complaining about the tone that Walters used during the interview.

A representative for The View confirmed that the incident did take place, although representatives for Hilton have made no comment so far.
