Sandra Bernhard: 'I'm on the sexual fence'

Sandra Bernhard has said that she is comfortable with her sexuality and continues to date both men and women.

Talking to PopEater, the comedian and entertainer called for more acceptance of alternative sexualities and insisted that people should feel comfortable with themselves no matter who they are.

"I've always straddled a fence. It's just time for people to be comfortable and not have to identify with anything. I've dated girls and guys. Penises frighten me. I don't have issues with anybody," she explained.

"I know what I stand for. I don't feel the need to change myself. I wish I looked like Angelina [Jolie], but I look a certain way and I've inspired people."

Bernard previously confessed that she misses the close friendship she shared with Madonna during the '80s, though she has insisted that the pair never slept together.

She recently claimed that she prefers "sophisticated" comedy and feels that Kathy Griffin copied her earlier material.
