The Easy A actress confessed that she finds it hard to get into films as a viewer when the actors do not fit her vision of how the character would look in real life.
"I like to look like a person. It drives me crazy when you see women in movies playing teachers, and they have biceps," she explained to Elle. "It totally takes me out of the movie. I start thinking, 'Wow, that actress playing this part really looks great!'"
Stone went on to admit that while she was always comfortable in her own skin, she did not always fit the conventional idea of beauty.
"I sucked my thumb until I was 11, so I had this expander in. I was a good-looking kid," she joked. "I never felt, like, dorky. I was just like, 'Yup, these are my braces. I've had them forever'."
Stone recently dyed her hair red again after going blonde for her role as Gwen Stacy in the upcoming Spider-Man film starring Andrew Garfield.
