Will Mellor: 'Horrible time for Ryan Giggs brother'

Will Mellor has claimed that his close friend Rhodri Giggs is having a "horrendous" time in the wake of the recent Ryan Giggs scandal.

Last weekend it was reported that footballer Ryan had an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri's wife Natasha.

Mellor, who served as Rhodri's best man at his wedding to Natasha last year, revealed that the family are still trying to deal with the revelations.

"It's a horrible time," Mellor told host Adrian Chiles on Daybreak. "Imagine having your world tipped upside down in one night.

"It's a horrendous time for everyone who's innocent in this and I just hope it blows over sooner rather than later and he can start rebuilding his life."

Celebrity PR guru Max Clifford recently revealed that he has met up with Natasha in the wake of the allegations, and claimed that he has also been contacted by a "devastated" Rhodri.

Mellor is currently starring in new BBC One sitcom In With The Flynns.
