Shane Warne: 'Things with Liz Hurley are great'

Shane Warne has opened up about his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley.

The Australian cricketer, who was first romantically linked to model and actress Hurley around the time that she announced her split from husband Arun Nayar earlier this year, said that he is "very, very happy" with her.

Warne told a Melbourne radio station: "First of all she's a lovely lady and we're getting along really well. Things are going great. I'm spending a lot of time in England this summer... and we'll see what happens with Elizabeth and I but at the moment it's going great and hopefully it goes like that in the future."

He admitted that Hurley "doesn't know much" about sport but said that when she came to India to support him in a match recently, she "cheered well".

Warne described the amount of paparazzi who stalked him and Hurley during her last visit to Australia as a "joke". "78 people camped outside my house," he said. "Throwing rocks, ringing the doorbell. At the end of the day I understand."

He recently lost 10kg in a fitness regime and has regularly taken nutritional advice from Hurley on Twitter.

Earlier this week, he said that he was craving "a hot pie with copious amounts of sauce with crinkle cut chips" but resisted the temptation and "settled" for a "protein shake with an apple and banana" instead.
