Chris Rock has seemingly defended comedian Tracy Morgan following the controversy over his perceived homophobic comments.

30 Rock star Morgan has been criticised for several anti-gay comments he made during a performance in Nashville last week.

During the show, Morgan claimed that he would stab his son if he found out he was gay, and criticised gay teenagers for complaining about being bullied.

"I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a world where Tracy Morgan can't say foul, inappropriate s**t," Rock tweeted yesterday.

However, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation wasted no time in responding to Rock's message.

"Language about stabbing kids for being gay isn't 'foul'," they tweeted to Rock. "It's dangerous."

Since the incident in question, Morgan has released a statement apologising for his comments. His 30 Rock boss Tina Fey has admitted that she found the rant 'disturbing'.
