The couple married in 2009 after meeting while she was a judge on BBC One reality TV show Any Dream Will Do, which Mead eventually won. They welcomed their first child, daughter Betsy, in May last year.
Speaking as a judge on Dermot O'Leary's new ITV1 show The Marriage Ref, which gives relationship advice, she said: "We argue about who gets to have a lie in. We bicker over who gets up in the mornings.
"We take it in turns who is going to get up with the baby but I normally win that argument. I crack the whip. I have been married for two years and we annoy each other all the time. We bicker quite a lot.
"We have a one-year-old. For the first few months there was a lot of sleep deprivation and we just argued over silly things. Guys feel pushed out when you give your attention to a baby. It's like having two kids."
Van Outen recently admitted that she likes being a working mum.
