Dane Cook finds lost dog via Twitter

Dane Cook has found his lost dog via Twitter.

The comedian took to the social networking site on Saturday evening to announce that his dog Beast had disappeared in West Hollywood, asking his followers to help him track the dog down, MSNBC reports.

"West Hollywood I need your help please. My dog Beast is missing in that area," Cook wrote. "I've attached a pic. Email [address] if found."

A number of volunteers then met Cook at the area where Beast had last been seen to help the Good Luck Chuck actor search for his dog.

"Thank you volunteers who are showing up! Here is another photo of Beast," Cook tweeted, attaching an image of the dog.

Beast was ultimately located about two hours later.

"We found Beast!!!! Thank you so so so much everyone for your help!!!!" Cook wrote. "I am so happy right now!!!!!"

Cook recently guest-starred on Hawaii Five-0 as the younger brother of Danno (Scott Caan). Series producer Paul Zbyszewski promised that the actor would surprise in the role, stating that Cook is looking to expand his repertoire beyond comedic parts.

The 39-year-old can be seen on Broadway next year opposite Julia Stiles in the play Fat Pig.
