Richards to undergo brain surgery
Published Thursday, May 4 2006, 20:46 BST | By David Cribb
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards looks like he will have to undergo brain surgery following an accident in Fiji.
Richards spent the night in a New Zealand hospital last week after he fell from a tree in Fiji, with what was suspected to be concussion. However it now seems that the 62-year-old's predicament is far more serious, with the concussion turning out to be a small brain haemorrhage.
He is expected to recover fully, but it is uncertain whether he will rejoin the band when they resume their world tour in a few weeks.
