Demi Lovato 'splits from Wilmer Valderrama'

Demi Lovato has reportedly split from Wilmer Valderrama after a year of dating.

Lovato ended her relationship with Valderrama due to the age difference between the two, according to the New York Post.

"The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives," a source said.

Lovato is 18 years old, while the That 70's Show star is 31 years old.

In addition, the website reports that Lovato's mother, Dianna Hart de la Garza, has checked into rehab.

"Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mum could take some time to deal with her own issues," said the source.

The Disney star entered a rehab clinic in November last year to seek treatment for emotional and physical issues, including an eating disorder.

Lovato later revealed that childhood bullying had caused her to develop the disorder, stating that she was teased for being overweight as a child.

The Sonny with a Chance star posted a picture of herself in a bikini in May, expressing her excitement at her newfound body confidence.
