Louis Vuitton releases first Angelina Jolie ad

Louis Vuitton has released its first advert featuring Angelina Jolie.

Posing in the Slem Reap province in Cambodia, the 36-year-old has no make-up on, is wearing her own clothing and carrying her own monogrammed Louis Vuitton Alto bag in the picture.

"People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation," Louis Vuitton's executive vice president Pietro Beccari said in an interview with WWD. "I like the fact that it's a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey."

The Salt star signed a $10 million (£6.1m) deal with the French fashion company in late April.

Jolie recently described herself as "very, very soft", stating that while she admires strong women, she has always wanted to be a mother at heart.

Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt recently donated $500,000 (£306,000) to disaster relief efforts in Missouri in order to help those affected by the recent tornadoes in the area.

The actress most recently lent her voice to Kung Fu Panda 2.
