Paris rumoured to have new lover

Paris Hilton is rumoured to have begun dating American football star Matt Leinart only days after dumping her Greek boyfriend Stavros Niarchos.

A spokesperson for the heiress is quoted in People magazine: "She knows Matt, she likes Matt. They are friends. I don't want to go any further than that. They have known each other a while."

The pair have been spotted together several times in the last few days.
