Sean Bean 'won't press charges over stabbing'

Sean Bean will not press charges after being stabbed in North London over the weekend, it has been reported.

The incident was believed to have been sparked after the Game of Thrones star challenged several hecklers who were bothering his rumoured girlfriend, 22-year-old model April Summers.

Later in the evening, Bean was attacked and stabbed in the arm with broken glass. He was treated at the scene with a first-aid kit.

Following the violent altercation, Bean refused to file a police report and has insisted that he will not pursue charges against his attacker, a police insider told The Sun.

The law enforcement source said: "Police were called but the alleged victim didn't want to make a complaint. No further action was taken."

Bean's 19-year-old daughter Molly revealed that her father is beginning to feel better, but cautioned: "We don't know if there will be any lasting injury."

The actor has not yet issued a public comment on the matter.

Cleanskin, in which Bean stars with Charlotte Rampling and Michelle Ryan, is expected to be released later this year.
