Peter Andre named 'Celebrity Dad of the Year' again

Peter Andre has again been named 'Celebrity Dad of the Year'.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer topped a poll from Premier Inn, voted on by members of the public, for the second year running.

Andre, who is the father of Katie Price's son Junior and daughter Princess, as well as former stepfather of her disabled son Harvey, said: "This feels so great.

"It was an honour to win last year but to still have the public's support and best wishes is a tremendous feeling. This means a huge amount to me as being a dad is my most important role."

Premier Inn spokesperson Claire Haigh added: "We are delighted to announce Peter as the winner of the Premier Inn Celebrity Dad Award for 2011. His attitude towards work, spending quality time with his kids, and his likeability factor has clearly struck a chord with the voters.

"Premier Inn would like to congratulate Peter on his fantastic achievement of being voted the 'Celebrity Dad of the Year!'"

David Furnish, Elton John, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Jeff Brazier, Gray Barlow, Frank Lampard, Gavin Henson and Kris Smith were among the other nominees.

Andre won similar polls launched around Father's Day in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
