The Office star revealed in a roundtable discussion with fellow female comedy actresses that she not only worked at a Los Angeles car wash for three years but also answered an ad in a local paper for employment at a psychic hotline.
"I called the number in the back of LA Weekly looking for psychics," Fischer recalled. "Here was the interview: 'Do you feel like a rather intuitive person?' 'I do, I really do feel intuitive'. 'Do you read tarot cards?' 'Yes'."
Fischer however went on to reveal that she did not remain in the position long, as she started to feel bad for pulling the wool over people's eyes.
"I didn't do it for very long because I did start to feel - it was hard. A lot of the people are very lonely, older women who just need a friend."
Fischer recently confirmed that she and husband Lee Kirk are expecting their first child together later this year.
She has previously admitted that she feels insecure about losing or gaining weight as an actress since her weight is in the public spotlight.
