Eva Amurri: 'Wedding planning is wonderful'

Eva Amurri has confessed that she finds the process of planning her upcoming wedding to be "wonderful".

The Californication star announced her engagement to Fox Soccer Channel commentator Kyle Martino in December 2010.

Amurri told US Weekly that the process of ironing out the details of the forthcoming ceremony has been made easier by the fact that parents Susan Sarandon and Franco Amurri have allowed her to make her own decisions.

"[The wedding planning is] going awesome! It's had its stressful moments, but it's been wonderful," she explained.

"My parents are helping out by being supportive, and they're not getting too involved or too opinionated about things that they need or don't want, so that's been really helpful. They just kind of help out where we ask them to. They're being very laid back, so it's good."

Amurri has refused to announce the exact date of the wedding but told the publication that it will take place sometime before the end of the year.

She was cast in new CBS pilot The Doctor earlier this year.
