Winfrey recently wrapped up her daily talkshow after more than 25 years on the air, but she told attendees at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association trade show that she is still hoping to secure a chat with Simpson for her Oprah's Next Chapter series.
Winfrey said: "I have a dream of OJ Simpson confessing to me. I am going to make that happen, people.
"I don't just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready [to confess], Mr. Simpson."
Simpson was acquitted in his infamous double murder trial in 1995, but was later found guilty in the wrongful deaths of Brown and Goldman in a civil proceeding. He has maintained his innocence in the years since his criminal acquittal.
The former NFL great is currently serving a 33-year sentence for his involvement in the 2007 robbery of sports memorabilia from Las Vegas's Palace Station casino.
