So Solid Crew star sentenced in abuse case

By
Former So Solid Crew member Darren Weir has been sentenced to 120 hours of community service in a domestic assault case.

Weir, also known as Skat D, pleaded guilty on Thursday to punching his unnamed girlfriend in the face last August, Contactmusic reports.

The '21 Seconds' rapper was said to have lashed out at his lover during an argument over laundry, resulting in his now ex-girlfriend filing a restraining order.

Weir was given 120 hours of community service, an 18-month supervision order and told to pay his former partner £50 compensation during this week's trial at Bromley Magistrates' Court in London.

Former crew members Lisa Maffia, Romeo and Megaman released a track entitled 'Since You Went Away' under the So Solid name in 2010, which peaked at 82 in the UK singles chart.

Maffia previously argued that the group deserved a "second chance".
