Claudia Winkleman: 'I fancy Jon Snow'

Claudia Winkleman has admitted to harbouring a secret crush on Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow.

The King Of... host detailed to The Mail On Sunday a somewhat unconventional taste in men, but highlighted the 63-year-old journalist as her ideal celebrity date.

"I have very unusual taste in men," she accepted. "I'm totally obsessed with Ronnie Corbett, mainly because he's small, like me. I'm also obsessed with Ian Beale, as played by Adam Woodyatt in EastEnders.

"But I wouldn't say I fancy either of them. I really fancy Jon Snow. No one wears a tie as jauntily as him. I'd much rather go on a date with him than Brad Pitt."

However, Winkleman clarified that she would never swap Snow for husband of 11 years Kris Thykier, who she identified as a "handsome" individual.

"I'd rather be with a man who's more grateful than handsome," she mused. "Having said that, I'm married to a very handsome chap. But I wouldn't tell him that. I tell him he's physically repellent to keep him in his place."

Winkleman confirmed in March that she is expecting a third child with Thykier.

The Film 2011 presenter earlier described herself as a "rubbish celebrity".
