Billy Ray Cyrus: 'I really like Liam Hemsworth'

Billy Ray Cyrus has described daughter Miley's boyfriend Liam Hemsworth as "a great guy".

Miley and Hemsworth recently began dating again after apparently ending their relationship last autumn.

Billy Ray told E Online that he approves of Hemsworth's involvement in Miley's life, saying: "He's a great guy. He's solid. He's got a great character.

"I have to tell you, on or off the record, he's just a good guy. He's just a really good guy. I really like him a lot."

Miley and Hemsworth met on the set of The Last Song but only began dating after the film wrapped production.

She has been previously linked to Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick.

Miley opened up earlier this year about her father's reconciliation with her mother Trish, saying that knowing they were back together before she left home to go on tour made her feel good.

Her parents filed for divorce last year but Billy Ray abandoned proceedings in March, saying at the time: "Things are the best they've ever been".
