Cameron Diaz: 'I love Alex Rodriguez too much'

Cameron Diaz has joked that she allowed boyfriend Alex Rodriguez to eat the last of her popcorn at a baseball game as she 'loves him too much'.

The Bad Teacher star revealed during an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman that she felt a surge of generosity while attending the Super Bowl together in February.

Diaz recalled: "We were watching the game, and I was eating, and I was getting down to, like, the last couple pieces of popcorn. And all of a sudden, I see [Alex's] hand coming in.

"Anybody who knows me does not put their hand in my food, especially when it's close to my mouth. I said, 'What are you...?' And then I went, 'You know what? I love you too much, I'm going to give it to you. You deserve it.'"

Diaz was first rumoured to be dating New York Yankees player Rodriguez in April, though the actress did not confirm the relationship until earlier this month.

The pair also dated for a seven month period last year, though they later broke up in November 2010.
