The Terminator star has been embroiled in controversy since it was a revealed that he fathered a love child with his former household maid Mildred Baena while still married to Maria Shriver.
Schwarzenegger addressed the press for the first since the scandal erupted at the Vienna Energy Forum on Tuesday, speaking to dignitaries and reporters about his views on environmental sustainment and other political policies.
The former governor declined to make any comment on his private life, but did reveal that he was very proud to be back in his homeland.
"It's wonderful to be back in Austria," he told those in attendance at the Vienna Energy Forum.
He will return to Austria later this year for the opening of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum in his hometown Thal.
Schwarzenegger's estranged wife Shriver is reportedly attempting to put her children's need ahead of her own anger in the wake of the Austrian star's admission of infidelity.
