The Gotti: In The Shadow of My Father star told Extra that while the pair work hard to keep their marriage going, he believes that faith plays a strong role in their romance.
"Communication is number one, but our church does a lot to help us keep together," Travolta told Extra.
"When we have issues, we go settle it up, and if you don't do that you kind of get stale a little bit."
Travolta and Preston married in 1991 and had son Jett, who died in 2009, as well as 10-year-old daughter Ella Bleu. They also welcomed a son named Benjamin in November 2010.
The couple had a traditional Scientology "silent birth" in order to welcome their child into the world "in as peaceful and gentle a way as possible".
