Michael Lohan: 'Lindsay relationship improving'

Michael Lohan has insisted that his strained relationship with daughter Lindsay is steadily improving.

The Celebrity Rehab star discussed Lindsay's troubled history during an interview on The View on Wednesday, claiming that her actions were not her fault but rather a result of trauma caused by her mother Dina.

Michael said: "It's a hell of a lot better than it was. It's a lot better. There's still some... It's not Lindsay anymore. It's the damage that was done as a result of my divorce with Dina."

He also spoke out in support of Lindsay in the midst of her recent jewellery theft case, adding: "I believe what my daughter tells me."

Lindsay is currently serving approximately 30 days under house arrest as a result of her no contest plea in the case.

However, reports suggest that she has been called to appear in court on Thursday morning following a positive alcohol test.

Michael recently claimed that Lindsay needs to leave LA in order to get her life together.
