'Grey's Anatomy' actress Sara Ramírez engaged

Sara Ramírez and longtime boyfriend Ryan Debolt are engaged to be married.

The Grey's Anatomy actress accepted Debolt's proposal during a recent trip to Paris, reports US Weekly.

Ramírez's rep Nancy Seltzer said: "Sara Ramírez and her longtime partner, Ryan Debolt, are thrilled to announce their engagement, which took place in Paris, France, on June 17, 2011."

A production insider told the Daily Mail that "everyone was over the moon" to hear of the actress's engagement to Debolt.

Ramírez's Grey's Anatomy character Callie Torres wed fellow doctor Arizona Robbins in the show's season finale last month.

Series creator Shonda Rimes has expressed her belief that the fictional couple are "made for each other".

Ramirez has previously confessed to struggling with body issues but has since insisted that she has learned to appreciate her unconventional looks.
