Lohan is currently serving approximately 30 days under house arrest as a result of her no contest plea against the charges, a deal which many believe was too lenient.
"Anyone with [Lohan's] background would have gotten house arrest, she didn't get a special deal," Holley explained to E! News of the sentence. "I worried perception would harm her... But everyone - the judge, the courts - were professional, so it was fair."
"It was difficult in my mind. I believed public pressure would make the powers that be behave differently but she got what everyone would have. People think celebrities get it easier and a break, but the converse is true."
Lohan narrowly avoided prison again on Thursday after she was forced to appear in court when she tested positive for alcohol on one of two tests administered last week.
It was determined that the positive result did not violate the terms of Lohan's probation as she had only been required to undergo controlled substances testing from January 3 to February 25.
