'Columbo's Peter Falk: Tribute in pictures

Peter Falk, two-time Oscar nominee and five-time Emmy winner, sadly passed away today at the age of 83 following a long battle with dementia and Alzheimer's.

Though he may have been better known as Columbo for some 35 years, Falk's filmography and achievements weren't limited to "just one more thing".

From his first on-stage appearance at the age of 12 to his critically acclaimed turns in Murder, Inc and TV drama The Law and Mr Jones, Falk worked to establish himself as a diverse, accomplished and beloved star of the stage and screen.
