Ameriie gets married in Anguilla

R&B singer Ameriie got married at a private ceremony on the island of Anguilla in the British West Indies yesterday.

Ameriie wed her boyfriend, former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson, in a platinum themed celebration at Viceroy Anguilla, a luxury resort.

"This is such an exciting time for me," the singer told People about the wedding. "This is my first marriage and I am over the moon.

"I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn't come any sooner for me, I am beyond thrilled.

"I will remember this day forever."

The Grammy Award-nominated artist is currently working on her fifth studio album Cymatika Vol. 1, following the release of her last record Love & War back in 2009.

Last year the singer announced that she had officially changed her stage name from Amerie to Ameriie to reflect her newly found 'positive energy'.

Cymatika Vol. 1 is now expected to be released some time in 2012.
