Kim Kardashian: 'Kourtney relieved about engagement'

Kim Kardashian has said that she is happy that her engagement to NBA star Kris Humphries has taken the pressure to get married off her older sister Kourtney.

Kim announced her engagement to Humphries in May, and she revealed that Kourtney is in no rush to marry her partner Scott Disick, despite the couple having an 18-month-old son together.

"Kourtney doesn't like all the big weddings and big ring things," Kardashian explained, according to Bang Showbiz. "She said she's been relieved of a lot of pressure because my mum and everyone was pressuring her and Scott to get married."

Kourtney herself recently said that she was thankful that Kim's engagement had bought her some time, and noted that she wouldn't be getting married anytime soon.

The reality star also addressed the issue of whether she intends to take Humphries's surname after the two are married.

"I think at home and privately for sure I'll change my name," she revealed. "I think I will always have Kardashian just for work. But at home it'll be Humphries."
