Ryan Dunn was happy soul, says Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has paid tribute to Jackass star Ryan Dunn, who was tragically killed in a car accident last week.

Dunn perished along with his friend Zachary Hartwell after crashing his vehicle at speeds close to 130mph on Monday. He was certified drunk at the time, with a blood alcohol level almost two-and-a-half times the legal limit for driving.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, Cyrus published to her 1.4m followers a previously forgotten photo of her and Dunn cuddled up on what appeared to be a joyous night of partying.

"Just found this picture of me cracking up at Ryan Dunn," she wrote. "What a happy energy he had. RIP =[ "

Other stars to have mourned the loss of Dunn include Brad Pitt and Kings of Leon, with the 'Use Somebody' band dedicating a song to the 34-year-old at a recent London concert.

Jackass stars Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera were among those in attendance at a memorial service for Dunn in Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
