David Blaine has failed in his latest attempt to break a world record.
The stuntman and magician tried to hold his breath underwater for more than eight minutes and 58 seconds, the current record, but came up nearly two minutes short.
His time of seven minutes and eight seconds came after Blaine had spent a week submerged underwater in a glass ball, using breathing apparatus.
After his attempt, Blaine addressed the gathered crowd in Manhattan: "I am humbled so much by the support of everyone from New York City and from all over the world. This was a very difficult week, but you all made it fly by with your strong support and your energy. Thank you so much, everybody. I love you all."
