Hulk Hogan's ex-wife 'feared he would kill her'

Linda Hogan has opened up about her allegedly violent marriage to wrestler Hulk Hogan.

In her new autobiography Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes, Linda claims that the wrestler was extremely aggressive, often leading her to fear for her life.

"[Hulk] tore my shirt," Linda writes. "He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, pounding walls. I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages."

Linda recently appeared on the Today Show to discuss her book, claiming that her ex-husband has yet to apologise for his behaviour.

"He did not feel remorse - and to this day he's never apologised for any of his actions," Linda contested.

The two were married from 1983 to 2007.

In mid-June, it was reported that Hulk will embark on a new stage show, travelling across the world to open up about his 30-year professional wrestling career.

Hulk married his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel in December of last year.
