Alicia Silverstone 'didn't leave house after baby'

Alicia Silverstone has confessed that she didn't leave her house for weeks after giving birth to her son.

The Clueless actress, who announced in January that she and husband Christopher Jarecki were expecting their first child, welcomed baby Bear Blu Jarecki last month.

Silverstone told US Weekly that she became so wrapped up in the new baby that she found it hard to leave the house as she did not want to be away from the child.

"I didn't leave the house at all for six weeks after his birth," she explained. "I wanted to soak in every moment of his scrumptiousness. He's really calm."

Silverstone has said previously that she dreamed of motherhood since she was a young girl and "couldn't wait" to start a family.

Silverstone and Jarecki married in a beachfront ceremony in Lake Tahoe in 2005. They met outside of a movie theatre in 1997.
