Nathan Lee Parada was arrested in August 2010 after he woke the socialite by bashing a downstairs window with a knife.
He was taken into police custody before harming Hilton and later convicted of first degree residential burglary.
An LA Superior Court judge ruled this week that aside from serving two years in prison, Parada should also submit to mental health therapy, according to Reuters.
Parada's attorney had argued that his client committed the burglary only after refraining from taking prescribed antidepressant medicine for several days.
A rep for the World According To Paris star has not yet commented on the court order.
Kathy Hilton recently admitted that she is heartbroken over daughter Paris's split from former boyfriend Cy Waits.
