The former Bond girl revealed that she upholds a strict exercise regime to keep her curvaceous figure in shape, but still gets annoyed by speculation about her body.
"I do get vexed by that," Arterton admitted to The Sun, when asked how she feels about being scrutinised so closely. "I'm not abnormal - just not as skinny as other actresses."
"I'm healthy," she continued. "My granddad is 97 and still does ballroom dancing. I want to live to tell the tale like him, not be 57 with osteoporosis."
The Clash of the Titans star has several projects lined up over the next year, including the vampire thriller Byzantium opposite Saoirse Ronan and Neil LaBute's adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel Crooked House.
Arterton will also star as Gretel in the modern fairytale update Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, due out on March 2, 2012.
