Leighton Meester: 'Selena Gomez is a great role model'

The Gossip Girl actress praised her Monte Carlo co-star, stating that Gomez is an incredible role model in an interview with PopEater.
"She's the most amazing role model," Meester said. "She'll have full on conversations with her fans - but they're 6-year-olds. She is just so wonderful with them."
In the same interview, Meester went on to say that fame and fortune do not bring her happiness.
"I love acting," Meester said. "It's not the fame and other parts. I love acting and singing, so I want to continue doing that. But, no fame and fortune - that sounds nice."
Meester recently revealed that she thoroughly enjoyed filming Monte Carlo with her co-stars Gomez and Katie Cassidy.
Last week, Gomez ran into Transformers: Dark of the Moon actor Shia LaBeouf, describing the encounter as the best day ever.
Monte Carlo is currently on US release, and opens in the UK on August 24.
