Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo 'were unsure of TV wedding'

Nick Lachey has opened up about his decision to televise his marriage to Vanessa Minnillo.

It was announced in June that TLC had already begun filming a one-hour special titled Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding. The American singer recently confessed that he was unsure of allowing his wedding to be documented for reality TV, according to Us Weekly.

"We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons," Lachey said. "Having done reality TV in the past, I didn't necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did."

Lachey went on to state that he sees the special as an opportunity to obtain a particularly great wedding video.

"It's a one-off special; a chance to kind of have a great experience and a great moment in our lives documented on TV, and also for us, to have a great wedding video at the end of it," he added.

The 37-year-old recently confirmed that he and Minnillo want children right away, claiming that they are both keen on starting a family.

Minnillo and Lachey met on the set of his music video for 'What's Left of Me' in 2006.
