Cheryl, Ashley Cole 'want to start a family together'

Cheryl and Ashley Cole are planning to start a family together, reports have claimed.

Ashley was photographed attending his ex-wife's 28th birthday celebrations in London over the weekend. According to The Mirror, Cheryl has moved back into their marital home in Surrey, where the couple are now said to be discussing plans to become parents.

"They got back together because they want children and they could not live without each other. They've never been happier," a source told the paper.

"Ashley has got his wife back, and this time it's for keeps. He has learned from his mistakes and knows he messed up but he's ­promised Cheryl he will change. She's back with the man she loves, despite what others say. He makes her happy and that's the bottom line."

The insider continued: "The main reason they got back together was because they both realised they wanted to start a family and they could not live without one another. The first time around Cheryl's career came first, but this time family is her priority. They both want children.

"His brother Matthew was about to have his second child and Ashley wants kids of his own. He realised no one else came close to Cheryl, no one else made him feel secure and loved. Cheryl felt the same. She knew it would never work with Derek [Hough]. There's even talk of getting married again."

Meanwhile, The Sun reports of Cheryl and Ashley having enjoyed a "date night" on Saturday, then attending a barbecue together yesterday.

"It's done and dusted. They spent the entire weekend together and are properly dating," a source claimed. "They were out Saturday night for drinks, but decided against a late night and went back to Cheryl's early.

"Ashley loves his barbecues and they met up at a mutual friend's on Sunday. They have drawn a line under everything and are starting afresh. She's already talking about kids and they want a house abroad where they can get away."

Cheryl's mother Joan Callaghan has apparently given the reunion her blessing, telling the footballer that she can't help who her daughter loves.
