Bettany disappointed wife by bulking up

Paul Bettany has apparently disappointed his wife Jennifer Connolly by bulking up for his role in The Da Vinci Code.
The actor was forced to get into shape to play albino monk Silas in The Da Vinci Code. He quit his vices and hit the gym to try to get into shape, but apparently Connolly liked him better as a skinny English boy.
He said: "I was the strongest I've ever been. I think she was a bit sad about it. Because when we got married, she bought this very, very skinny, pale Englishman who drank and smoked, and now I do none of those things."
