The model and Project Runway host was recently forced to cancel an appearance on Sandilands's radio show after he launched a verbal attack against her live on air and accused her of being a "phoney".
Sandilands said on 2DayFM last week: "I don't like her and there's no reason for me not to like her - it's just that I don't and never have. I just don't care for her. I just don't find her warm."
Yesterday morning, Gale told The Matt and Jo Show on Fox FM: "I've probably been going on [Kyle's] show for 10 years... and every single time on and off-air he'd say to me, 'I love having you on, anytime you want to come on, it's so good to see you.' So you can imagine my shock with someone who's looked me in the eye and then has called me phoney.
"I don't expect everyone to like me [but] there's no need to just rip into someone publicly. It's not in my nature to get angry or retaliate. There's bigger problems in the world. I'd just smile and be in the same room [if I saw him again]. I certainly wouldn't go up and say, 'Let's go have a drink together.'"
Gale also defended her decision to keep her rumoured relationship with Carlton footballer Shaun Hampson private following her public split from comedian Andy Lee, saying: "I was with a very public person who via his job shared so much about ourselves but I'm not with him anymore, so of course there's going to be a shift in how the private life is projected because I'm with a different person, and I'm not with someone who's very very public."
Gale was recently labelled a "diva" after reportedly making "nothing but the best" demands on the Project Runway set. She later reportedly asked police in Sydney to stop the traffic after claiming that she was being "harassed" by waiting paparazzi. She has since insisted that she is just a "normal" girl.
