Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones take break to Mediterranean

Michael Douglas took his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones on vacation for the Independence Day holiday, it has been reported.

The couple and their two children spent the holiday weekend on the Mediterranean, according to the New York Post.

"They ate fish in a local restaurant and they visited a nightclub," a source said. "They seemed relaxed and very happy."

Zeta-Jones recently returned to work on the film Playing the Field after seeking treatment for bipolar disorder in April. The trip marks one of the actress's first outings since entering the facility.

In mid-June, Douglas revealed that Zeta-Jones was doing much better, claiming that she is happy to be back at work.

Douglas has said that he is feeling much better following a battle with throat cancer. The actor was diagnosed with the disease in August 2010.
