The 'Jessie's Girl' singer was taken into custody in May after failing a sobriety test issued by police in Los Angeles during a routine traffic violation stop.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's spokeswoman has confirmed that an attorney for Springfield entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday, according to The AP.
Springfield did not attend court.
The 61-year-old was pulled over by authorities on the Pacific Coast Highway at around 8pm on May 1. He is reported to have registered 0.10% in his blood alcohol test, which is over the 0.08% limit set in California.
Springfield, who is due back in court on August 15, has yet to comment.
