Paris Hilton: 'I'm just like a Barbie doll'

Paris Hilton has revealed that she draws inspiration from Oprah Winfrey, Kate Moss and Audrey Hepburn but insisted that she doesn't "copy" anyone.

The socialite - who recently split from Cy Waits - said that she is her own "Barbie doll".

Hilton told V: "I have always admired Marilyn Monroe, because the camera loved her. Audrey Hepburn, for being so classic, and Kate Moss. I have always looked up to Martha Stewart and Oprah Winfrey.

"There's a lot that goes into this. It didn't just happen. I've worked for 15 years. I'm very fun, and I'm very daring. I don't copy anybody. I'm like my own Barbie doll!"

Hilton, who previously starred in reality TV show The Simple Life, explained that she played a character on the programme because of her shyness.

She commented: "They told me to play a character; Green Acres meet Clueless.

"It was comfortable, because I was shy and I could hide behind that persona."

However, Hilton insisted that she shows her true self in The World According to Paris because she wants people to see her for who she really is.

She added: "I get to use my real voice. I love the show because it's showing more of the real me, as a businesswoman. I wanted to show what its like to be in my world."
