Singer Nancy Sinatra has been awarded a star on the Walk of Fame in recognition of her musical achievements.
The honour comes four decades after her hit single 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'' was released.
Speaking to MSNBC the star said: “My advice to young women starting out is hang tough, don’t quit - even if it takes 40 years."
During her career she duetted with iconic father Frank Sinatra, and also co-starred with Elvis Presley in the 1968 film Speedway.
