Harper Seven 'to be last Beckham child'

Harper Seven will likely be David and Victoria Beckham's last child, according to a close friend of the couple.

Victoria gave birth to the pair's fourth child - their first daughter - on Sunday.

David is said to have accepted his wife's decision for the child to be their last, made after she suffered severe back pains during the birth, and now sees their family as "complete".

"Victoria is determined not to have to go through that again," the friend told The Sun.

Another friend of the couple revealed that the choice of Harper as a name was due to the three Beckham children being big fans of the Selena Gomez Disney series The Wizards of Waverly Place, which features a character named Harper Finkle (Jennifer Stone).

"The boys love Wizards Of Waverly Place - and have been very vocal in helping to name their new sister," the insider said.

"David and Victoria think it is a lovely name. The whole family is pleased with the choice - the boys are very happy."

Of middle name Seven, the friend explained that it was a combination of timing and its close association with the footballer.

"Seven is something they had talked about. They were still not certain when the baby was born but it all seemed to fall into place.

"She was born in the seventh month in the hour of seven and weighed seven pounds. It just seemed right. David is keen on the meanings and power of numbers. We all hope it will bring her luck."

Various people have likened the choice of name to an episode of Seinfeld in which George Costanza (Jason Alexander) wants to call his future child Seven.
