Jake Gyllenhaal 'witnesses gang shooting for movie role'

The Source Code star was riding in a police car while doing research for his forthcoming police drama End of Watch when a gang shooting broke out, The AP says.
According to Sergeant Angela McGee, one gang member shot a rival, landing him in the hospital with bullet wounds above his lip as well as on one arm. No arrests were made.
Gyllenhaal was accompanied by his End of Watch co-star Michael Pena.
End of Watch centres on the relationship between two long-time police partners on the beat. Twilight actress Anna Kendrick also stars.
Gyllenhaal recently appeared on the survival series Man vs. Wild, spending two days in the Icelandic wilderness.
End of Watch is scheduled to open in cinemas in 2013.
