The Wizards of Waverley Place star visited the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Friday to help Seacrest launch 'The Voice', an interactive, closed-circuit broadcast unit for the facility's young patients.
The centre, which is funded by the American Idol host's Ryan Seacrest Foundation, will give children the opportunity to engage in a variety of media, act as DJs and play their favourite songs.
The newly-opened space will also allow stars to give live performances at the hospital and be interviewed by its patients, E! Online reports.
"I'm excited to bring The Voice to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia," Seacrest said. "The Voice closed-circuit broadcast centre is a new addition to [the hospital's] existing Child Life programmes and provides creative, interactive entertainment."
After a successful opening ceremony, Seacrest took to Twitter and publicly thanked Gomez for supporting the good cause.
He wrote: "The smiles that @SelenaGomez brought to kids' faces at @RyanFoundation... unforgettable...cannot thank u enough for taking the time, have a safe flight. Today was amazing (sic)."
Seacrest previously said of his decision to open the foundation: "I realise that there are more important things in life than going to work every day and taking on as many jobs as you can."
