Jennifer Lopez "couldn't wait" to divorce Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez "couldn't wait" to announce her divorce from third husband Marc Anthony, sources have claimed.

The American Idol judge confirmed the end of her seven-year marriage to Anthony yesterday and is alleged to have "been planning" the separation for months, having grown tired of the 42-year-old's "bad attitude".

"Jennifer has been very open about how much she is tired of dealing with Marc's bad attitude," a source told X17Online.

"She couldn't wait to make this announcement. She has been planning this for months but wanted to make sure her assets were protected before she files."

Lopez is said to have been spurred into action after becoming concerned about the effect that Anthony's attitude could have on their three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

"Jennifer has been really concerned about how the kids were going to react. They love their dad, but she wanted to make sure they grow up in a positive and healthy family environment. All of us have noticed Jen and Marc's relationship going downhill fast."

Lopez and Anthony yesterday described their divorce as "a very difficult decision" and claimed that they had "come to an amicable conclusion on all matters".
