US rapper DMX has been arrested at Heathrow Airport for verbally abusing the cabin crew on a flight into England.

DMX, real name Earl Simmons, refused to buckle his seat belt as the plane descended to land, according to police.

Once the plane had landed the rapper reportedly began to speak abusively to the aircraft cabin crew.

A Scotland Yard official said, "Heathrow Police were called at 12.05 with reports of a passenger causing a disturbance...a thirty-five year old man was arrested on suspicion of being verbally abusive to cabin crew."

Despite a number of previous convictions and serving jail time in the US, police let the rapper go with a caution.
